Karen Tallian, Indiana Democratic Party React to Supt. Ritz’s Decision to Exit Governor’s Race
Karen Tallian, Democratic candidate for Governor, issued the following statement with regard to Superintendent Ritz’s decision to exit the race for the Democratic nomination:
“I look forward to continuing to work with Superintendent Ritz, now and through future sessions of the Indiana General Assembly. Superintendent Ritz has been a champion for students, parents, and educators and I know that she will continue her outstanding work to ensure all Hoosier students have access to a high-quality education in our state.”
IDP Statement in Support of Ritz’s Decision to Seek Reelection as Indiana’s Superintendent of Public Instruction
INDIANAPOLIS – John Zody, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party, issued the following statement in support of Glenda Ritz’s decision to seek reelection as Indiana’s Superintendent of Public Instruction.
“We understand and respect Glenda Ritz’s decision to seek re-election as Superintendent of Public Instruction. With her leadership at the Statehouse, Hoosier families can have the confidence that she and other Statehouse Democrats will work to solve the problems facing our state. Whether it is protecting public education, reducing child poverty, or fighting to keep education more accessible and affordable in our state – particularly by working to expand Pre-K education – Hoosier Democrats will lead the charge to send Indiana in a new direction for the future. We enthusiastically support Superintendent Ritz in her re-election efforts.”
