Former Huntington County Republican Chair Endorses Gary Snyder for State Senate

Huntington, IN – Former Huntington County Republican Chairman Kris Underwood today announced he is endorsing Democrat Gary Snyder for Indiana State Senate District 17.
“In light of Senator Zay’s recent comments on racism and his unwillingness to apologize,  I am endorsing Gary Snyder for Indiana State Senate District 17,” said Underwood. “While I do not agree with Gary on every issue, we find common ground on his willingness to fight for struggling middle-class families, to be an advocate for public education, teachers and his support for the legalization of medical marijuana. Gary will make a great State Senator and one that will represent all citizens of the 17th District,” Underwood added.
“I want to thank Kris for his support and having the courage to put what is right over party politics,” said Snyder. “Kris realizes that district 17 needs a state senator that represents all people and one that will fight for struggling middle-class families, public education, teachers and the legalization of medical marijuana,” added Snyder.
