Tallian concerned for unemployed Hoosier workers

INDIANAPOLIS – On Monday, Celadon Trucking announced it would file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, leaving more than 3,000 workers without a job. Indiana Senate Democratic Caucus Chair Karen Tallian (D-Ogden Dunes) had the following comments to Celadon’s announcement:

“On behalf of our entire caucus, our thoughts go out to those workers who now find themselves jobless. For this to happen during the holiday season is traumatic for these workers and their families. Indiana should do everything possible to alleviate the burdens on the many Hoosiers who now must find new jobs. We need to make sure these workers immediately have access to unemployment insurance so there is no gap in providing for themselves and their families. At the end of the day, our state needs to rally behind our Hoosier workers.”
