Mara Candelaria Reardon Raises Nearly $100,000 in Less Than Six Weeks
Coming off the heels of recent endorsements, Candelaria Reardon’s campaign continues to gain momentum
Munster, IN – Democrat Mara Candelaria Reardon announced today that her congressional campaign raised $98,692 in Q4 of 2019. Candelaria Reardon, declared her candidacy just before the Thanksgiving holiday.
“I am thrilled to have the support of so many Hoosiers who believe in my vision for delivering bold leadership for the first district,” said Mara Candelaria Reardon. “As a Legislator who has spent my career representing the working people of Northwest Indiana, I’m committed to remaining a fierce advocate for affordable healthcare and good-paying jobs that make our community strong.”
Candelaria Reardon’s announcement comes on the heels of clinching key endorsements at the end of 2019, including the Congressional Hispanic Caucus’ BOLD PAC and the SMART-TD Indiana State Legislative Board, the first labor group to endorse in this race.
“Our campaign is coming out of the gate in a strong position to compete,” said Robert Olker, Campaign Manager. “Mara Candelaria Reardon is the most experienced candidate in this race, and her life story resonates with people across the district.”
Candelaria Reardon, who officially filed for office on Tuesday, is a Member of the Indiana House of Representatives and Chair of the Indiana House Democratic Caucus. She is seeking to become the first Latina woman to represent Indiana’s First Congressional District, and the first Latina to represent Indiana in Congress.
