United Steelworkers Endorse Karen Tallian for Attorney General

State Senator Karen Tallian is thrilled to announce that the United Steelworkers District 7, representing steelworkers across the state of Indiana, have endorsed her campaign for Indiana Attorney General.

District 7 Director Michael Millsap thanked Tallian for her dedication to improving the lives of working families saying, “Our union endorses candidates based on voting records, in-person interviews, political platforms and questionnaires.  We endorse only those candidates who share in our ideals in regard to labor, international trade, worker’s rights, job safety, affordable healthcare, retirement security, quality public education for our children and much more. Karen has a proven record of sharing our Steelworker values.  As State Senator, Karen has been a voice of reason and a steady hand in tumultuous times of corporate led state senate. Rest assured, as state Attorney General Karen will further champion workers’ rights, as well as fight to expose unjust laws and state led policies that hurt working families.”

Tallian said, “I am proud and honored to be endorsed by USW District 7.  As a State Senator, I have been working with their members across the state for the last 14 years.  I am always happy to stand with them.”

Tallian’s campaign manager Alex Cortwright said, “The support of the United Steelworkers is yet another reason why Karen Tallian is the best candidate for the Attorney General’s office.  Senator Tallian has earned the support of a broad coalition of Hoosiers thanks to her hard work in the legislature and her support of Democrats across the state for over a decade. Her strong record on the issues, broad coalition of supporters, and strong name ID make her the clear choice.”
