    The Indianapolis Colts tonight signed safety Julian Blackmon. The Colts have now signed all nine of their draft picks from the 2020 NFL Draft. Blackmon, 6-0, 187 pounds, was selected by Indianapolis in the third round (85th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He saw action in 48 career games (39 starts) at Utah and compiled 158 tackles (118 solo), 8.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 29 passes defensed, nine interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and two forced fumbles.     The Indianapolis Colts today signed wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. The Colts have now signed eight of their nine draft picks from the 2020 NFL Draft. Pittman Jr., 6-4, 223 pounds, was selected by Indianapolis in the second round (34th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played in 48 career games (30 starts) at USC and compiled 171 receptions for 2,519 yards and 19 touchdowns.     The upcoming Fourth of July race weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will run without spectators due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IMS officials announced today following extensive consultation with local and state officials. Stage 5 of Indiana’s reopening plan allows for sporting venues to host public events with social distancing and is scheduled to begin July 4 in most counties.   • 2020 Navy-Notre Dame Football Game To Be Played in Annapolis

    NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Following extensive consultation with the Irish government, medical authorities and the administrative staffs at Navy and Notre Dame, the football game scheduled for Aug. 29 between the two institutions will not be played at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, due to the coronavirus pandemic.  The two teams plan to open the season in Annapolis, Maryland, at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Pinter, 6-4, 306 pounds, was selected by Indianapolis in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played in 43 career games at Ball State and earned starts at right tackle (24) and tight end (11).   • Indianapolis Colts Release Official 2020 Schedule

    The Colts will open preseason play at home against the Philadelphia Eagles. It will mark the first preseason meeting between the teams since Aug. 27, 2016, when Philadelphia defeated Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium, 33-23. Since 1953, the Eagles lead the overall preseason series at 11-10. In their second preseason contest, Indianapolis will host the Washington Redskins in primetime on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.     INDIANAPOLIS — Marcus Johnson’s absence from the Indianapolis Colts, it turns out, was short-lived. The Colts today announced they have re-signed the veteran wide receiver. Terms of the deal were not immediately released. Johnson, who will be 26 by Week 1 of the 2020 season, is entering his fourth NFL season. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016 after going undrafted out of Texas, and worked his way up to the active roster the following season, playing in 10 games with the Eagles in 2017 before he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks the following March.     INDIANAPOLIS — Cross yet another need off the list for the Indianapolis Colts. The team today announced it has signed free agent tight end Trey Burton. Terms of the deal weren’t immediately released. Burton, who turns 29 during the 2020 season, originally entered the NFL in 2014 as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Florida product, who entered the college ranks as a quarterback before moving to tight end, earned a spot on the 53-man roster a few months later, and would play in 15 games in all his rookie season, mostly being utilized on special teams.
